WWE’s creative momentum has ground to a screeching halt, leaving fans completely checked out of the stagnant build toward SummerSlam and facing a historically weak lineup for this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

From the forced, repetitive dynamics of the Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns rivalry—where Reigns' best jab is mocking Rollins' "fake" Money in the Bank injury—to a roster delivering uninspired, generic promos, the spark is officially gone.

The booking continues to baffle: Solo Sikoa is building bizarre makeshift alliances with LA Knight, a hostile Lyra Valkyria is randomly unhinged on Bayley, and Otis’s emotional crowd-pleasing moments are being cut short by chaotic, senseless decimation.

Worse yet, Bryan Alvarez highlighted the absolute squandering of Gunther’s dominant retirement run, which has flopped into consecutive losses to Cody Rhodes and a baffling SummerSlam match against a General Manager.

With Saturday Night’s Main Event offering a bizarre, lackluster card featuring Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh in a No DQ match, Paige and Brie Bella defending their tag titles against Fatal Influence, and a highly predictable CM Punk/Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther/Sami Zayn tag match, WWE is severely testing the patience of its universe at the worst possible time.
