March topic: Forgiveness and Reconciliation
Hallow meditation: Who do we need to forgive?
Fr. Brown: The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation
- Confession restores the graces of Baptism.
- Jesus gave the Apostles His authority to forgive sins.
- Essential parts of the Sacrament:
- Being truly sorry (Contrition)
- Confession to a priest
- Intention to not sin again
- Intention to do penance (Satisfaction)
- "I absolve you of your sins"
- In Sacraments, we encounter through our senses what is actually happening in our souls.
