"Special Forces" is a prequel story to my forthcoming novel "The White Queen," which is a spicy paranormal fantasy. Unlike that novel, which is set in modern day, this story is set in WWII at an American run station hospital in Australia. While this particular station hospital has Daisy as its only black nurse, there was an all-black nursing unit assigned to Australia at the time. Also, M and Z intelligence units were real, although whether there were actual trained occult people in those units, well...
This story was also heavily influenced by my frequent watching of M*A*S*H with my Dad.
