  • Nov 25, 2025 - Private vs. Public Insta, Wishlists & Wabi Sabi.
    2025/11/25
The first trend this week urges you to get raw & real! The "My Private vs. My Public Instagram" is the perfect occasion to reach new and existing followers by giving them a glimpse behind the scenes. It really is another trend in this shift towards authentic content vs. polished content. Can you use it for content marketing? Yes! Will it be hard to sell it to your boss? Maybe. Would it be worth it? Absolutely! The second trend is not about your actual wishlist but "Things I'd put on my wishlist, if I didn't already had them." - it's an amazingly easy trend that is actually more of a hook to get your audience involved, to fire up your Creator and Influencer Collabs and of course to market your products. For our last trend, we get philosophical. And also Japanese. This wholesome trend makes use of an existing audio, that talks about "Wabi Sabi". You don't have to be a dog shelter or small bakery to make use of this trend that shows beauty in the irregular. A gentle rebellion against the polished world of TikTok, Instagram & LinkedIn. Enjoy! Does anybody read this by the way? • Nov 18, 2025 - The Lying Game, Intriguing Texts & Don't Judge!
    2025/11/18
This week, we kick it of with the "The Lying Game". But can a game become content for your Brand Channel? Well, of course! As long as you don't play it for the win, but for the entertainment. So here we are, giving you some tips & tricks (also production-wise) for this funny, silly Content Inspiration. Next, we picked a trend where you can use basic screenshots to entertain your followers, build community and even shape your Brand-personality. But here's the catch: These screenshots might be confidential. So please ask for permission. Or just use our community management Idea and get great engagement. Last, we ask you to "Don't judge, that could be you some day". But in a very ironic way. In fact in such an ironic way, that this is a try-if-you-dare trend and test your community, shape your online-persona or you just put an educational twist to it and everything's fine. We hope ;)

  • Oct 28, 2025 - Group 7, The Louvre Heist and Middle Fingers from Ariana Grande
    2025/10/28
Welcome back to some SoMe — your weekly mini-brief & inspiration on what’s actually trending across social: This week we talk about the "Group 7" and what to do with this very SoMe-In-A-Nutshell-Trend. It's all about exclusivity, being in a group, followers, creators and all because of a performance-test by Sophia James. Sounds interesting? You're absolutely right! Also can crime be funny? If you take a look at how TikTok and Instagram react to the Louvre Heist, yes it can be! It even has to be! Why? Maybe because Gen Z and Gen Alpha are the least serious generation there ever was? Maybe, maybe... And last but not least, if you have haters the "Take-It"-trend is for you! Just give them the middle finger and lipsync to Ariana Grande. We’re Lea (Gen Z) and Freddy (Millennial). Each week we scroll, test, and translate trends into plain(-ish) English so you don’t have to. Follow us on Instagram @someSoMe.podcast, where we post the clips, links, and examples we mention.
