A sleep story for tonight: a small white lighthouse on a green headland in the Faroe Islands, out in the North Atlantic. You walk the cliff path through sea mist past resting sheep, sit by the fire in a grass-roofed keeper's cottage as the fog closes in, and lie down under wool blankets while the beam sweeps slowly across the ceiling and the sea breathes far below.
