A sleep story for tonight: a small pine cabin on a hillside above a Norwegian fjord, in the long pale dusk of the north that never quite goes dark. You watch the still water hold the sky, sit by a low iron stove with warm milk and honey, and climb into a deep wooden berth under wool blankets while the light fades so slowly you are asleep before it is gone.
