This week we were joined by friend of the show and horror/suspense/sci-fi author Joe Prosit. Joe sat down with us to dissect "Attack of the Killer Donuts" from 2016. It's the story of Johnny and Michelle, working at their dead-end donut shop job. But a science experiment mishap causes dozens of the donuts to come to life as bloodthirsty little monsters. The donut shop''s only employees have to save the day before all of their paying customers get eaten.

The story centers around a group of college students who break into a bowling alley as part of a sorority initiation. They steal a bowling trophy, but it breaks open and a mischevious Imp pops out and offers to grant them each one wish. On this episode of SlashU Held Back we're re-visiting "Sweatshop" from 2009. We talk about this movie a LOT on SlashU because it was one of those that came out of nowhere and really surprised us. The plot/acting isn't great, but it's a low budget slasher movie so what do you expect? But the effects were outstanding and the brutality of the slasher really stands out compared to other lesser known movies we've seen. It's the story of a group of glow-stick loving ravers who break into an abandoned factory to hold a huge rave. But The Beast already lives there. And he doesn't take too kindly to anyone breaking in. With his welding mask and giant foundry hammer, he stalks the ravers, violently ending their party.

This week we covered a movie that we thought was a slasher at first, because it takes place at a Summer Camp and there's a "Doctor" stalking the kids dressed up like a high tech beekeeper. But it's not a slasher. It's a sci-fi thriller that has a cool twist ending. We spoil the whole movie so don't listen until you've watched it unless you're ok with spoilers! The story centers around a young boy named Morgan. It's his first summer at camp. But he has trouble fitting in. For starters, he's just at an awkward young age.
