    Luke Creger is a recent winner of the Waco Ironman 70.3 and previously won at North Carolina as well. Before Triathlon, Luke was strictly a runner. Learn how Luke went from running a more casual 3-5 miles per day while pursuing weight loss goals, to becoming a competitive triathlete eligible to go pro in the sport.

    Luke is not only an exceptional athlete but an integral member of the community. We were excited to sit down and talk with Luke about all things Triathlon, growing up and making the trek to Michigan for college, and brokering watches.

  • How The UCI Stole Her Shot at The 2024 Olympics - Chelsea Wolfe
    2024/10/14

    Chelsea Wolfe is a BMX Freestyle Athlete who was ranked Top 5 in the world leading into the World Championships in 2023. She suddenly got news overnight that she could no longer compete under new UCI legislation that extended to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

    Chelsea's entire life was turned upside down in an instant after having based her financial livelihood and the bulk of her existence around competing internationally in freestyle BMX when she was informed she'd no longer be able to compete in the sport she loved so much.

    Chelsea talks us through that experience, what it was like to re-evaluate her whole life's work, her relationship with the bike, competition, and herself and ultimately has great insight into approaching topics from a HUMAN perspective.

    This was such an insightful conversation. Chelsea is a fantastic competitor and we're excited to see her back out and competing in the world of fixed gear racing.

  • This Event Could Change Cycling Around The WORLD - James Grady
    2024/10/07

    This week we got to sit down with an absolute legend in the fixed gear cycling space, James Grady. James is the founder of Mission Crit that was a popular fixed gear criterium race in San Francisco that drew crowds of thousands before the pandemic in 2020.

    After that, James went on to lead the Red Bull Bay Climb and Red Bull Short Circuit. This event was highly successful and was proof of concept that cycling fans around the world are looking for something engaging, action packed, and spectator friendly.

    In this episode we talked about when James found his love for bikes, how that developed over time, and how he eventually become a community leader and dedicated cycling event organizer. James and his wife Clare are now the co-founders of Formula Fixed. This series aims to grow larger than ever before and bring cycling to stadiums worldwide.

  • From Flag Football to 2024 US Women's Rugby Sevens Olympic Bronze Medalist - Kayla Canett
    2024/09/30

    This week we had the opportunity to sit down with United States Professional Women's Sevens Rugby Player Kayla Canett. Kayla talks us through her journey growing up playing sports in San Diego County, to her time at Penn State securing NCAA Championships, and more recently her 2020 Tokyo Olympic experience as well as her OLYMPIC BRONZE at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the rest of the USA Women's Sevens Team.

    This is the FIRST medal for any Sevens Team at the olympics. We were excited to hear how it felt in those final seconds at the Paris Games when the Team knew they had locked in the medal after a breakaway last second score in the match by her teammate.

    Kayla talks about her true love for the game and what it's like to be an incognito olympian in a lecture hall full of fellow college students.

    Kayla plans to get her degree in kinesiology and ideally stay involved in sports in some capacity, but she's got no interest in hanging up the cleats any time soon.

  • Fostering Community and Elevating Your Mindset Through Sport - Sun Greene

    This week we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with founder of Coastal Run Club, local entrepreneur, Real Estate Agent, and community organizer Sun Greene.

    Sun is black and asian, having a very unique and interesting upbringing moving to Southern California after having been raised in a communal household early in life.

    Sun's unique perspective on childhood traumas, overcoming those traumas, and being such a bright light in the community is unique, inspiring, and refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed Sun's thoughts on life and the pursuit of real happiness through community.

  • Female Inclusivity In Cycling With a 2 Time Romanian National Road Champion - Georgeta Ungureanu
    2024/07/17

    Today we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Georgeta Ungureanu who is a 2 time Romanian National Road Cycling Champion. Georgeta was previously a swimmer and grew up as an athlete. At one point in her life she was so adventurous to pursue skydiving as a sport and hobby before moving to the United States.

    After moving to the US Georgeta learned about road cycling through a friend and shortly thereafter tackled her first 200 mile endurance road ride. She fell in love with the sport there and has since moved to California where she found joy in racing and competition.

    Georgeta has an entrepreneurial spirit and seeks to inspire young women in the sport through inclusivity and success. The growth of the sport in recent years excites her a great deal. We were happy to sit down and talk about all of these topics and more in this episode.

    Georgeta is gearing up to hopefully be fit and competitive enough to make a run at the 2028 Olympics right here in Los Angeles, CA.

  • From Underground Fixie Racer to Pillar of The American Criterium Scene - Dante Young
    2024/07/02

    This week we got the opportunity to sit down with Dante Young of the Miami Blazers. Dante has been a professional cyclist primarily racing on the US Criterium Circuit. Dante originally gained popularity racing in the fixed gear criterium scene all over the world at major events like Red Hook and the Rad Race.

    Dante then moved toward Criterium racing in the United States and joined L39ion of Los Angeles where he was able to absorb knowledge from the likes of Justin and Cory Williams, Rahsaan Bahati, and other mentors in the sport.

    Over time Dante has become quite successful as both a lead out man, and collected many wins on his own. Growing up right here in Southern California offered Dante many challenges when he was young. We talked about how he avoided getting wrapped up in gang activity, managed to stay clean and sober, and ultimately has blazed a trail as a professional athlete via cycling.

    Thanks again for coming on Dante and we hope that you all enjoy this episode and Dante's unique perspective on the sport of American Crit Racing as much as we did.

    This week we sit down with Taylor Warren a professional American Cyclist racing the United States Road Bike Racing Circuit with CS Velo. Taylor has been racing for over 15 years now and shares his expertise as a coach with Source Endurance.

    He has had many successes in his career and in this episode we talk about the reality of racing and earning a living in the American Bike Racing scene. We talk about what it means to earn an income racing and the level of commitment required to do so. We talked through being passionate in your sport and touched on so many other fantastic topics.

    The most important, however, may have been the health of the general population of the United States and the sleep epidemic, amongst other things we are facing.

    Overall, this was a fantastic conversation with Taylor and we're excited to bring this episode to y'all.
