  • It Looks Like Nothing. Then It Looks Like Everything.
    2026/08/31

There's a list somewhere in your world. A notebook, a content calendar, a plan you followed for two strong weeks before life got loud and it quietly stopped.

This week closes out the Growth Compass with the point that keeps it all moving, and the one perfectionism trap that's probably costing you more than any missed week ever could.

Plus: the three numbers actually worth checking, once a month, and the free tool that shows you exactly where to focus next.

    Take the Marketing Clarity Scorecard.

  • A Sprint With No Finish Line
    2026/08/24

I spent a dog sitting weekend watching a chaos gremlin of a puppy run zoomies through my son's house. By Sunday night I realized I hadn't created a single piece of content for the week ahead, with an anniversary, a birthday, and a day of Easter prep still in front of me. That's the moment this episode starts from.

If your marketing falls apart every time your life gets full, it was never a system. It was just you running fast enough to look consistent.

This week we build the part that holds. Your marketing is three parts of one system: your core platform (the one place you go deep each week), your email list (the only asset you actually own), and social (where what you've already made brings new people in). One core piece a week feeds the other two, so nothing gets created twice from scratch.

We also get honest about batching. Real batching isn't 30 days of content in one Saturday afternoon. It's a workflow you plan and protect, built around how you actually work.

This week's action: look back at your alignment answers from episode 2 and choose the ONE core platform you'll create from. Write it at the top of the page you've been building.

Next week we close out the Growth Compass with execution.

  • My Son Refused to Be Left-Handed
    2026/08/17

My son spent sixteen years refusing to admit he was left-handed. He adapted, he compensated, he made it work, until one day on a basketball court we finally asked him to just try the shot left-handed. Clean release, no hitch. His body had been waiting for permission the whole time.

I watch coaches do the same thing with their marketing. You find a strategy that's working for someone else, a bigger team, a different schedule, a completely different business, and you force yourself into it. It falls apart, and you assume you're the problem. You're not. The strategy was never built for how you work.

This week is about alignment: designing your marketing around your natural strengths, where your ideal client actually spends her time, and how much a real week can actually give you.

    Three questions to sit with:

    1. What kind of content creation feels natural to you?
    2. Where does your ideal client actually spend her time?
    3. How much time can you give your marketing in a real week, not your best week?

Write your answers down right next to last week's clarity answers. That page is starting to turn into your map.
