His final publication takes an anthropological magnifying glass to the lives of Yoruba peoples in west Africa. The book’s subtitle reads: " their religion, manners, customs, laws, language, etc : with an appendix containing a comparison of the Tshi, Gã, Ęwe, and Yoruba languages". The following recording is selected readings from his fifteen chapters: Chief Gods, Measurements of Time, Ceremonies at Birth, Marriage and Death and Conclusions. (Summary by Faith Abíọ́lá-Ellison)
