Over the past 10 years of my career, some of my favorite moments have been when leaders open up and speak candidly about their experiences and share their opinions on the issues of the day.  

Shop Talk is a series of informal interviews with thought leaders in the worlds of selling, sales training, sales leadership, commercial learning, and talent development.  Each speaker has nothing to sell, this is just an opportunity for a few professionals to talk shop on the topics we're passionate about.  

Today's episode features Brian Young, former Chief Commercial Officer at Johnson Controls and Tyco, and Vice President of Enterprise Sales Operations at 3M.  Brian's career has taken him from the frontlines of selling all the way to the C-Suite of 3M, Tyco, and Johnson Controls.  He's one of the few C-Suite residents I've met who truly understands the world of the front line seller and sales manager.
