- Laura Brooks found the yellow jacket and sealed water bottle at 9:47 AM from the canyon rim, sixty feet above the canyon floor.
- Christine began with 750 milliliters of water, one granola bar, one bag of mixed nuts, a space blanket, a lighter, and a dead phone.
- A seep on the north wall produced a bead of water every 40-50 seconds, collected in a shallow rock pocket.
- Christine fashioned funnels from the space blanket lining and boiled seep water with her lighter, sustaining herself over four days without running out.
- The entire rescue operation from discovery to extraction took thirty-one hours.
