- At 2:17 PM the temperature dropped 27 degrees in under 30 minutes and rain became sleet.
- Gail fell approximately 40 feet down the western slope and the bike’s front wheel separated and lodged 150 feet below.
- Erin Taylor found the carbon-frame bicycle twelve feet from the bank in Coldtail Creek at 6:15 AM, with no front wheel and a zip-tied rearview mirror catching the dawn light.
