In this section of teaching, Jesus exposes the folly of coveting, warns against the futility of anxiety, and points us to the freedom of trust. Desire for provision and concern about the future are good and normal, as long as they are tethered to the Lord, trusting his providential care and provision. Disconnected from Him, these desires quickly devolve into fears that overwhelm the heart. Listen and be challenged to consider the folly and futility of the untethered heart.
