Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.

As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.

From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.

I’m thrilled you’re here.

  • Ep 336: They called me the ‘fun police’. Why Highly Sensitive People love rules
    2026/07/12

They called me the "Fun Police" at high school. What a name. They were right; I loved a rule, and I hated them being broken. I didn't know I about high sensitivity or neurodivergence back then ... but it's clear that's what was playing out for me at the time.

On today's episode of SelfKind - a podcast for highly sensitive people - I'm talking about RULES as sensitive folk. Why they put us in a bind at times by helping us to feel safe but also leading us toward discomfort and inner criticism when they're broken.

Why do we love rules? Why are we so uncomfortable when they're broken? Tune in and let's explore.

  • Ep 335: Getting the day started without overwhelm as a Highly Sensitive Person
    2026/07/07

On today's episode of SelfKind - a podcast for highly sensitive people - I'm answering a listener's question about getting the day started without overwhelm. Let's face it, there are always a million and one things you could do in a day, so how do you prioritise in a way that is kind to your sensitivity and helps you avoid overwhelm at 7:01am?

I'm sharing a few tips, including getting honest about your capacity and what's really a 'should' rather than a true priority, and so much more.

  • Ep 334: A story about blue glasses and the power of being believed
    2026/07/01

If you're a highly sensitive person, there's a good chance you know what it feels like to be misunderstood and to have your experiences minimised or invalidated. It sucks!

In this episode of SelfKind - a podcast for highly sensitive people - I'm sharing a story about my new blue glasses. This isn't a story about why everyone needs blue glasses (nope, not at all); it's a story about how powerful it can be to be believed and understood after years of feeling like you must be making your struggles up.
