  • The Rules of Engagement | A Prayer for Spiritual Warfare, Protection, and Victory
    2026/08/24

Enter into a powerful prayer of spiritual warfare and biblical declaration.

“The Rules of Engagement” is a prayer focused on standing firm in Christ, walking in the authority given through Jesus, and remembering that our battle is not against people, but against spiritual forces.

    Ephesians 6:12 reminds us:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

    In this prayer, we declare:

    • The armor of God over our lives
    • The authority of Jesus Christ
    • Protection through the Word of God
    • Strength in times of spiritual battle
    • Freedom from fear, oppression, and discouragement
    • Alignment with God’s purpose and calling

This prayer is a reminder that our victory does not come from human strength, but through the power of God.

“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

    2 Corinthians 10:4

Listen, pray along, and allow the Holy Spirit to strengthen your faith as you stand firm in Christ.

  • Are You Spiritually Mature or Just Spiritually Experienced?
    2026/08/16

There is a difference between spending years around the things of God and actually allowing those years to transform you.

In this episode of Selah Sessions, Pastor Carlos A. Morales explores what true spiritual maturity looks like according to Scripture. Spiritual gifts, church experience, biblical knowledge, titles, and ministry activity can all be present while areas of our character still need to grow.

This episode challenges us to examine the evidence of maturity in our lives:

    • Can we receive correction?

    • Are we becoming more loving, patient, gentle, and self-controlled?

    • Can we handle disagreement without dishonoring others?

    • Are we teachable?

    • Can we admit when we are wrong?

    • Are we pursuing spiritual fruit as much as spiritual gifts?

    • Most importantly, are we becoming more like Jesus?

Hebrews 5:12-14 reminds us that maturity develops through practice and discernment. Galatians 5:22-23 points us to the fruit of the Spirit. James 3 reveals what godly wisdom looks like, and Ephesians 4:13-15 reminds us that the goal of spiritual growth is Christlikeness.

This is not an episode about examining everyone around us.

It is an invitation to pray the prayer of Psalm 139:23:

“Search me, O God, and know my heart.”

Experience tells how long you have been around the things of God.

Maturity reveals how much being with God has changed you.

    Pause. Reflect. Examine. Grow.

    Selah.

    Key Scriptures: Hebrews 5:12-14, Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, James 3:13-18, Philippians 2:3-8, Ephesians 4:13-15, Psalm 139:23-24

I Own My Shortcomings, But They Do Not Own Me

In this deeply personal and honest Selah Sessions episode, Pastor Carlos A. Morales reflects on healing, accountability, repentance, and the freedom to stop living imprisoned by past mistakes, careless words, and old accusations.

This episode is not about denying shortcomings. It is about putting them in their proper place. Under repentance. Under growth. Under wisdom. Under the blood of Jesus.

There comes a moment in healing when you stop running from what happened, but you also stop letting it define you. You can own where you fell short without allowing shame to become your identity. You can receive correction without accepting condemnation. You can repent, grow, learn, and keep moving forward.

Pastor Carlos shares from a place of humility and restoration, reminding listeners that integrity does not mean perfection. Integrity means honesty before God, a teachable heart, and the courage to keep walking securely after God has searched, healed, and strengthened you.

If you have ever struggled with shame, accusation, regret, or the weight of someone else’s version of your story, this episode will remind you that your shortcomings may have taught you, but they do not own you.
