Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno has launched this Podcast to give you the listener an inside look at some of Lee County Florida's Cold Cases. Inside these stories you will hear witness statements from the time of the crime, original 911 calls and never heard before interviews with some of the detectives that worked these cases.   • Homicide 23-007363 Andreas Cubias
    2025/07/28

    On the evening of January 5, 2023, a meeting to repay a debt turned deadly as the man arrived to get paid he was met with deadly gunfire. A man and his girlfriend would arrive at the predetermined meeting location only to be greeted by gunshots. The targeted attack left 19 year old Andreas Estevan Cubias dead from multiple gun shot wounds.

    Witnesses reported seeing a sedan flee from the scene, and Andreas girlfriend remembered two suspects and one a Hispanic male in a red hoody. The suspect was communicating with Andreas all day, and was prepared to pay him the money owed from the purchase of Gold Teeth.

  • Homicide 18-471987 Javarcia Riggins and Kevin Robinson
    2025/05/13

    On the evening of October 9, 2018, a family gathering at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers turned into a scene of chaos and tragedy. As relatives exited TGI Friday’s after celebrating a birthday dinner, a gunman armed with what witnesses described as an assault-style rifle opened fire in the parking lot. The targeted attack left two men dead — 56-year-old Kevin Robinson and 22-year-old Javarcia Riggins — and seriously wounded a 25-year-old female.

    Surveillance footage, witness accounts, and over 50 spent shell casings collected at the scene pointed to a calculated ambush. A dark Chrysler 300 was seen speeding away toward Daniels Parkway, and despite a massive law enforcement response and a flood of interviews, the shooter remains unidentified.

  • Homicide 18-045772 Javaris Wilson
    2025/03/12

    On January 28, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s responded to a report of a just occurred shooting in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Upon arrival on scene, deputies discovered 21-year-old Javaris Wilson shot to death in the doorway of his family’s home. Further investigation Javaris was ambushed when he opened his front door.

    Javris was on the couch with his fiancé and friend moments before the shooting when he got a call, went to the door, and was shot and killed. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for this crime, and request that anyone with information contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
