During that game, some of VCU’s recurrent themes popped up, struggled with turnovers in the first half and had a field goal drought of 9:32 down the stretch of the second half. Wayne and Zach go on to look at some of the positives from the season, like finishing 7th nationally in KenPom.com adjusted defensive efficiency rating, at 88.9 points allowed per 100 possessions. The 2018-19 team also finished seventh. Downsides of the season included turnovers (avg. 15.1/game), rebounding and transfers not working out.
