Season 2, Episode 5 — Stewarding Growth Without Losing Alignment

What happens when something you prayed for begins to grow—and the way you’ve always carried it no longer works?

In this episode of Back to the Seed Conversations, Samantha Bishop explores what it means to steward growth without automatically assuming that growth requires you to personally carry more.

Using Acts 6 as a biblical foundation, this conversation looks at how the early church responded when healthy growth exposed limitations in their existing structure. Instead of simply working harder, they paused, evaluated what the season required, empowered others, shared responsibility, and protected the assignments they were specifically called to carry.

This episode explores:

  • Why growth can require a new structure
  • The difference between what you’re capable of carrying and what is actually yours to carry
  • Why every good opportunity or legitimate need may not be your assignment
  • How healthy delegation creates space for others to develop
  • Why shared responsibility can strengthen rather than interrupt growth
  • How to recognize when increase has quietly pushed important things to the side

Listeners are also invited into a practical reflection centered around three questions:

  • What must remain mine?
  • What can be shared?
  • What no longer belongs to this season?

Growth does not always require more of you. Sometimes growth requires a different way of stewarding what has been entrusted to you.

If you’re navigating a season of increase, greater responsibility, or changing capacity, this conversation is an invitation to bring it back to Father and ask:

  • What does healthy stewardship look like for where I am now?

The book was the beginning. The conversation continues.
