In this episode, we share a real fitting room experience involving a bride who arrived with her mother—the person who purchased her wedding gown and played a major role in choosing it.

Throughout the fitting, the bride seemed anxious, overwhelmed, and eager to move through the alterations process as quickly as possible. Questions were met with few answers, and as bridal seamstresses, we often witness emotions that have very little to do with sewing. Sometimes what appears to be a dress issue is actually something much deeper.

One of the biggest issues?... Many brides are left without a true support system or centralized resource to guide them through critical decisions. And because the bridal and alterations industry is largely unregulated, quality and expertise can vary widely—often at the exact stage when timing is tight and emotions are high.
