THANK GOD IT’S FRIDA — wait, Saturday?
It’s Episode Two of Season Two of A Couple of Old Fashioneds: Becca and Joe’s Double Feature Date Night at the Movies!
On this second episode of our second season, the Theme is, quite literally this time, “Hangover Cure”, and the movies are:
SCHOOL OF ROCK & SHAUN OF THE DEAD!
Join Becca and Joe in this special episode of the show - not during their booze-soaked Date Night, but on the day after. That’s right, it’s...Saturday! And Becca and Joe are…not feeling their best. Just as movies are the best accompaniment to cocktails and conversations, they are also often the only real salve to broken brains and crushed souls.
Will these two movie picks really cure a hangover? Whose comfort film features a hungover guy teaching precocious kids how to rock and whose features a hungover guy teaching hungry zombies how to roll? And will their close release dates help or hinder? Watch the episode to find out if you guessed right, and stay tuned to the end to find out what the theme will be next week!
Don’t forget now the show is its own broadcast to subscribe to its YouTube and Podcast channels and stay up to date on latest episodes! Follow it on Instagram and Letterboxd to follow the complete movie lists and let Becca and Joe know whether you agree with their picks, and what you would’ve chosen yourself.
After all, the greatest gift a movie lover can give another is a great title they have yet to discover. That’s what movies are all about - they’re the only kind of marathon worth participating in and they’re what Date Nights are made for.
So settle in, grab your favorite old fashioned drink with your favorite old fashioned person (if that’s the pleasure of your own company then we completely feel you), and revel in a couple old fashioned conversations with Becca and Joe. They are, let’s face it, a pretty old fashioned kind of couple themselves.
