Proverbs 11:30 (KJV)

...And he that winneth souls is wise.

Jesus Christ told His disciples that they would be witnesses unto Him in both Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria (Acts 1:8). This was the Lord giving them a strategy for how Christianity was going to spread.

The word wise in the text above is the word chakam in Hebrew, which means to be skilful or artful. You don't become wise after winning a soul; you acquire wisdom first in order to win.

Wisdom is knowing that your present territory is fertile ground and that no ground is difficult to win souls. Have a clear strategy and plan before you embark on a soul-winning campaign in order to get results. The more you plan, the more effective you become.

Make sure that you don't only lead a person to Christ and then never do a proper follow-up afterwards. Follow up and travail until Christ is fully formed in them.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, grant me wisdom and strategy for effective soul-winning. Make me skilful and consistent, and help me to follow up faithfully until Christ is fully formed in those I reach.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

As I grow in wisdom this year, my soul-winning efforts are effective, productive and a success, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
