This led her forward to create the Harborough Woodland tree planting initiative in Leicestershire, where she has motivated and managed the planting of 53,000 trees! We discuss the importance of creating sustainability through community involvement with now 15 Committee members and 700 volunteers; the challenges faced in securing land and trees for planting, and the impact of motherhood on Kimberly's own motivation to get involved and make a difference. Our conversation highlights the significance of creating wildlife corridors, using tree roots to help hold back flood water, and fostering a non-hierarchical community model.
