Welcome back to another season!
WE are kicking it off with a bang.. On our first episode of season three: Listen to the inspirational Carvens Lissaint who plays the infamous George Washington in Hamilton. Carvens talks to us about spoken word, his preparation journey towards Hamilton, emotional intelligence, prioritising marriage, manhood and many more! Carvens Lissaint is a Haitian American award-winning poet, actor, speaker and teaching artist. Most recently Carvens completed his 6-year run as George Washington in the Tony Award winning musical HAMILTON where he performed in the Broadway, Los Angeles and National Touring companies. Lissaint was an honoree of the first annual Shadow and Act RISING Star Awards held by Blavity. He can be seen on HULU in the short “Go to Bed, Raymond”, featured on the second, third, & fifth seasons of the hit television series “Verses and Flow” on TVOne, and debuted his original poem “Embers in The Dark” on NBA on TNT’s: The Arena. Carvens is an author of two poetry collections, “The Inspiration- From: Heart, To Page” and his most recent work “Target Practice” which was featured on Huffington Post, Broadway.com’s Front Row, and the Build Series. A proud graduate of The American Academy for Dramatic Arts, St. John’s University and holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of The Arts-Graduate Acting Program. He is a follower of Christ and gives all glory to Jesus.
