概要
First solo podcast from Angela, who has worked as a qualified social worker for a really long time and has dedicated many years of study, research and practice in the area of adult mental health, substance misuse, street homeless, children and families.
Angela takes us through the origins and benefits of Life Story work in adulthood and believes this could be one of many ways to make sense of our sometimes fragmented stories.
The key to this approach is recognising our deep need for belonging and that it can be threatened by the emotions that can accompany the trauma of painful life events (shame, anger and confusion).
Life story work in adulthood calls for us to become detectives in our own lives.
