💜Lee Chambers💜
Lee is an award-winning Black, autistic psychologist and founder of Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing.
Lee was born into relative deprivation, yet managed to use education as a tool to forge the foundations for success, despite redundancy and mental ill health. Growing PhenomGames from a bedroom to operating across Europe, he had to redefine success after his immune system failed, leaving him spending 11 months learning to walk again, and he speaks on how he continued in the face of adversity and how he developed from his challenges and managing chronic illness.
It was his experience that became the catalyst for Essentialise, an innovative wellbeing and inclusion agency with a range of clients and a cornerstone employer for SEND schools in Lancashire. Through his work, he was the winner of the Great British Entrepreneur Award for Service Industries and Services Startup of the Year at the UK National Startup Awards.
He recently became the first Black British scientist to become a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, has been inducted into the Black Cultural Archives, and is the author of the Millennials Guide to Wellness.
Lee Chambers is a passionate and engaging speaker, weaving stories into insight and delivering practical, actionable advice that is both topical and relevant for his audience. He confidently communicates on a range of topics, from wellbeing, gender equity and startups to neurodiversity, resilience and culture. He has been interviewed by Vogue, Newsweek and the Guardian, is a regular media contributor on wellbeing and inclusion subjects, and is a leading male voice on inclusion in the workplace.
