From resource-intensive production processes and non-biodegradable waste to the proliferation of microplastics and chemical pollution, the environmental challenges associated with polymers demand urgent attention. However, the industry is actively exploring innovative solutions, such as biodegradable materials, enhanced recycling techniques, and sustainable sourcing, in an effort to transition towards a more eco-conscious and sustainable future. Joining us today for an episode about the same, is an esteemed faculty of the School of Chemical Engineering, at VIT, Dr. Aabid Hussain Shaik. Having done his PhD from IIT Kharagpur in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Aabid has extensive experience in Polymers and Heat Transfer. Today he will be breaking down for us the world of polymers.
