概要
Freshman year of college was supposed to be exciting; new freedom, new people, and the chance to become someone new. But what nobody tells you is that when you leave home, you don’t leave your mind behind. In this first episode of The Inner D, I open up about one of the darkest moments of my freshman year, when questions about identity, worth, and belonging became overwhelming. Behind the smiles and everyday interactions, I was struggling silently and carrying thoughts I didn’t feel safe sharing with anyone.
That night became a turning point, not because I suddenly had everything figured out, but because it was the first time I spoke to God with complete honesty. From that moment forward, scriptures like Joshua 1:9, Jeremiah 29:11, Philippians 4:6–7, and Matthew 11:28 began to reshape how I saw struggle, faith, and purpose. This episode reflects on how those words didn’t instantly remove the hard days, but slowly rebuilt my mindset, reminding me that peace can exist even in the middle of anxiety and uncertainty.
The Inner D is about the conversations we have within ourselves; the quiet battles, the search for meaning, and the moments that redefine who we are. if you’re walking through a difficult season, i hope this story reminds you that you’re not alone and that asking for help is a sign of wisdom, not weakness. as Joshua 1:9 reminds us: “be strong and courageous… for the lord your god will be with you wherever you go.” even here.
