このコンテンツについて
In this episode, Marcia Ore interviews Karen Vanterpool-Daber who served in Cambridgeshire Constabulary retiring in the rank of Assistant Chief Constable.
Karen shares her lived experience as a Black Woman in Policing including insights into her career progression and her key achievements and contributions to policing in Cambridgeshire and UK policing.
As a result of the podcast series, Black Women in Policing , Marcia and Karen Geddes QPM started an organisation called Women In the Shade with a clear vision: to create an environment where the talents, unique experiences, and perspectives of Black women are not just acknowledged, but respected and valued. We refuse to accept the status quo where Black women in uniform services continue to face barriers and obstacles in their professional journeys.
