このコンテンツについて
Marcia Ore interviews Janet Hills who retired from the Metropolitan Police having completed 30 years of service.
Janet shares her motivation for becoming a Police Officer, her role models and influencers, and how her work with the community and policing was acknowledged and celebrated with the awarding of an MBE in 2021.
As a result of the podcast series, Black Women in Policing , Marcia and Karen Geddes QPM started an organisation called Women In the Shade with a clear vision: to create an environment where the talents, unique experiences, and perspectives of Black women are not just acknowledged, but respected and valued. We refuse to accept the status quo where Black women in uniform services continue to face barriers and obstacles in their professional journeys.
