Spyder finally settles into his study for a rare moment of calm, hoping to untangle the storm in his head after everything that went down with Hecubum and Belle. In Episode 8, Amanda reads Blog 15 just as the fire starts to crackle and Spyder gets lost in his book. That is, until Lena slips in uninvited, becoming a welcomed surprise.
Their banter is quick, a little sharp, and full of unspoken history. After Lima tells her mom that Spyder left work early, something that is out of character for the boss dragon, Lena decides to check in on her way to meet her boyfriend, Danz.
Spyder tries to act cool, but underneath it all, he’s still wrestling with guilt, loss, and a spark of motivation he can’t quite make sense of just yet.
We get a peek into the softer side of Spyder, one he usually hides behind his compose facade and studious gaze. When Lena leaves, he’s left wishing she’d stayed longer.
