Welcome to today’s Bible study.
In this episode of Ruth 2 (KJV), we continue our verse-by-verse journey through the book of Ruth as God begins to provide for Naomi and Ruth through His providence. This chapter highlights God's provision, kindness, humility, and His faithful care for those who trust in Him.
The chapter begins with Ruth going to glean in the fields to provide food for herself and Naomi. By God's providence, she arrives at the field of Boaz, a wealthy relative of Elimelech who notices her diligence and her faithfulness to Naomi.
Boaz treats Ruth with kindness and generosity, offering her protection, food, and permission to gather grain alongside his workers. Ruth humbly receives his favor, recognizing God's hand at work through Boaz's compassion.
The chapter concludes with Ruth returning home with an abundant supply of grain. Naomi recognizes Boaz as one of their close relatives and sees fresh evidence that the Lord has not abandoned His kindness toward them.
Through this chapter, we see key lessons about God's providence, humble faith, generosity, kindness, and His faithful provision in every season of life.
Together, we will study this chapter verse by verse, exploring its historical context, theological depth, and spiritual lessons about God's care, grace, faithfulness, and redemption.
