Today on the podcast we have Shane aka AuldShaneGamer who is joining us for not one, but a few different episodes to share over forty years of TTRPG experience, stories, and tips to keep your table inclusive and safe for everybody!
3...2...1...Go! Okay, so you remember when you were a little kid, and you'd play cowboys and Indians, or cops and robbers and stuff. You're having fun, you run around, but then there's always that one kid, where it's like "I shot you!" "No, you didn't!" Well, now imagine there's somebody there that can arbitrate and say, "Yeah, he did shoot you, Bob."
Now just imagine that you're not just playing cops and robbers you know, you could be spiderman, you could be the Dragon Lord, you could be James Bond, you could be John Wick.
You could be anybody you wanted to, you have your job, you have your life, but who do you really want to be? Well you could do that, and you're doing it with friends, and you're creating this cool, fun story.
Then, at the end of it, you're like, holy crap, what did we just do? This was so much fun. That's what RPGs are about.
