What happens when you mess up — again — and you're not sure you can face God about it? This episode walks through 1 John 2:1-2 and one of the most comforting ideas in Scripture: we have an Advocate, and His name is Jesus.

Danny Robertson traces the word "advocate" (Greek: parakletos) through John 14-16, showing how it points first to the Holy Spirit and then, in 1 John, to Jesus Himself — the one who stands at the Father's right hand pleading your case. John 1:32 (NIV):

Jesus is the eternal, incarnate Son of God — fully God, fully man — yet Scripture shows Him ministering through the Holy Spirit throughout His earthly life. This episode walks through John 1:29-34, where John the Baptist testifies that he saw the Spirit descend on Jesus like a dove — and remain.
