    2026/08/12

Jump on in, pop fans, and get ready to fly with us on Part Two of our "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster" celebrations. The hoverbike engines are revving and we're picking up our Summer of Spice in July 2001 at Party in The Park with Geri around the release of her dead rockeh single 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster'. We get into the music video and comparisons to Posh's 'Not Such An Innocent Girl' visuals, and all the zesty b-sides.

Joel and David also revisit Geri's super camp, first-ever headline concert in Oman. Picture this: Steps, the British troops out in the desert, Union Jack bikinis, Cabaret-version of 'Wannabe'. We wrap 2001 with 'Calling', the George Michael-approved ballad with a stunning artistic music video, and all the stellar TV promo.

For the history books, Joel recaps all the fabulous Geri pop culture moments post-album - from a book launch to the infamous "Sex & The City" cameo, to serenading Harrison Ford and George Lucas. There's never a dull moment in Geriwood!

  • Natasha Hamilton Interview - Atomic Kitten star’s 2000s pop journey and unapologetically owning her solo debut
    2026/07/06

Natasha Hamilton is one of the most defining voices of 2000s UK pop, selling 10 million records worldwide with Atomic Kitten and today, she is carving a lane for herself as a solo star with the release of her debut EP "Extraction". Having made an indelible mark on our pop landscape with monster hits like 'Whole Again', 'The Tide is High (Get The Feeling)', and 'Be With You'; Natasha's now living her best life giving us vibrant, dance floor-ready bangers that feel both personal and, also, universally uplifting.

Joel sits down with Natasha for a career-spanning chat - from her joining Atomic Kitten as a teenager and navigating the rollercoaster of the music industry ever since, with line-up changes and reunions, through to finding her voice as a solo artist. We get into 'Miss Emotional' and the time after Atomic Kitten where she worked with acclaimed hitmaker Toby Gad (who crafted hits for Beyoncé and John Legend), the Lionel Richie tour where she played bops that were never released. Justice for the limited-release dance hit 'Round and Round'!

We dive into her fantastic debut EP "Extraction", the stunning visuals she has created in this universe, and her passion for working with creatives in the North West. From the angsty and emancipatory 'Numb' to the poignant storytelling of 'White Feather', and the joyous sun-kissed bops 'Garden of Eden' and 'Milk and Honey'; Miss Natasha brings the voice of experience and her warm, playful personality into everything and we are honoured to have this conversation with her.

    2026/06/03

Since we've had a prelude to a "Sweat"-y Summer courtesy of Our Melanie C; it would be crazy and utterly 'ga ga' to not celebrate the most successful Solo Spice Girl album of all time: "Northern Star".

Spice, Sporty and Pop fans unite because we are giving you an epic two-parter of Mel's iconique debut solo album, which soared between 1999 and 2001, with a string of global hit singles including two UK No.1s 'Never Be The Same' feat. Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes and 'I Turn To You'.

This zesty Part One high kicks the journey off in 1998 into 1999 as we follow Melanie's brewing solo career; from the neo-industrial punk rage of 'Goin' Down' to the tender and autobiographical 'Northern Star' single and our album highlights, b-sides, live performances, fashion and style moments. Where Spice Girls were on a hiatus; Melanie C was certainly going for gold, writing and recording with a string of established dead edgeh hitmakers behind records for Madonna's "Ray of Light", Björk, Massive Attack and more.
