Most reverts struggle when learning how to pray salah, but born Muslims can also struggle with their prayer (salah) from time to time. What aspects of salah do you find challenging?

Heather shares her personal experiences as a recent revert and what she has found most helpful and grounding. Salah is the 2nd foundational pillar of Islam and its importance in our lives shouldn't be minimized or overlooked.

This episode was inspired by the previous one on 'hayaa' (modesty, shyness, God consciousness). We go over what 'awrah' means and how and why it differs for men and women.

I share my personal experience dressing more modestly and give tips for the sisters who are trying to do the same. There is no correct order to do things so be kind and gentle with yourself on this journey. Allah knows what's in your heart and that you're trying.

Covering our awrah is a blessing. I share two experiences that just happened to me that show how people treat you with more respect and deference when you're dressed the way Allah asked us to in public.
