Often we are upset by the appropriation of indigenous culture by others- the misuse, misrepresentation, or even outright theft and relabeling of spirituality, religious icons, clothing, and tools with no credit given to its origins. But then we seek to elevate by looking to cultures outside of our own, when often what is right in our own ancestral tradition contains everything we need to heal, learn and grow spiritually. There is a deep link between your physical heritage and the levels at which it it possible for you to harness cosmic energies to improve your life. Today we examine that link, as well as ways to reframe the appropriation.

This week we dive into the metaphysics of gender, what gender means beyond physical human bodies, and the social manipulation of this spiritual energy- who's behind it, and who stands to lose or gain from this manipulation. Join us as we we dispel myths about what chakras are, and offer healing solutions for unblocking each one, and balancing those which are overactive or underactive. Picture your body as a vibrant, pulsating energy system. Within this system, there are between seven and fifteen main chakras, or energy centers, aligned along your spine, each representing different aspects of your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Like a well-tuned instrument, our chakras need to be in harmony for us to feel our best. When they become blocked or imbalanced, it's like having a clogged pipe, causing disturbances in our energy flow. But fear not! We have the power to unblock these energy centers and restore the natural flow of vitality within us. First up, let's talk about the root chakra, located at the base of your spine. This chakra is all about stability and grounding.

Wadjet is one of the oldest known deities of the ancient Kamitic tradition. Her worship extends far back into pre-dynastic times, and for as long as she has been known she has been closely associated with kingship and protection. As the patron divine principle of kings, she is associated with the land and depicted as a snake-headed woman or simply as a cobra, a large venomous snake common to the region, famous for its wide, forbidding hood and its ability to spit venom at its enemies from a long distance. The science of Wadjet is founded upon the ancient African understanding of the movement of energy through the body- the times, seasons, and systems through which power ebbs and flows in its cycles. By developing an experiential awareness of power and its cycles, it is possible to use them to their fullest capacity at all times, thus becoming a more effective human with the highest possibility of achieving your divine purpose.
