You play as Commander Shepard, an elite human soldier tasked with uncovering a mysterious threat tied to an ancient race of machines known as the Reapers. Blending third-person shooting with deep RPG mechanics, the game lets you build relationships with your crew, make moral choices that carry real consequences, and explore a richly detailed universe filled with alien species, political intrigue, and high-stakes missions.
