Colonel Rick holds a Master's degree in West European studies and Diplomacy from Indiana and Norwich Universities. He was given certificates in national and international security affairs from Harvard. He served in the US Army for 28 years and was assigned to Afghanistan, Albania, Germany, Italy, and France. Rick was also a Parachutist in the Italian Army and the US Army. He was decorated with five awards, including the US Legion Merit.
