  • Grief Hurts
    2025/10/02

Today’s episode is a tender one. We’re talking about grief the process of grieving, and the truth that it is not only okay to grieve, it’s necessary.

Too often, we feel the pressure to put on a facade. We tell ourselves, “I have to be strong. I can’t let anyone see me break.” But here’s the reality: pretending you’re okay when you’re not doesn’t make the pain go away. It just buries it deeper, and eventually, it will surface sometimes in ways we least expect.

Grief isn’t just about death. It can come after the loss of a relationship, the loss of a job, the loss of health, or even the loss of a dream we held close. Whatever form it takes, grief is a natural response to losing something or someone important to us. And the process it isn’t linear. It doesn’t follow a neat timeline. You may feel sadness one day, anger the next, maybe even relief, and then back to sadness again. And that’s okay.

The danger comes when we try to mask it. When we put on the happy face, go through the motions, and tell the world, “I’m fine.” That façade might protect us in the short term, but in the long run, it robs us of true healing. Grief demands to be felt. It’s not weakness it’s evidence of love, of connection, of care.
