In this episode, I am joined by Jennifer Woolwine for a deeply honest conversation about navigating one of the harder, more complex relationships we can have with our animals.

Together, we talk about Jennifer’s journey with her dog Rosie. A relationship that has stretched, challenged, and transformed her in ways she never expected. From moments of deep connection to moments of doubt, overwhelm, guilt, and questioning whether she was truly the “right” home for Rosie, this conversation opens the door to experiences that many animal guardians quietly navigate but rarely speak about openly.

We explore the emotional reality of living alongside an animal who pushes your edges, the shame that can arise when a relationship with an animal doesn’t feel easy, and the importance of support, honesty, and patience throughout the process.

My hope is that this conversation helps listeners feel less alone, while also creating more space for the truth that relationships with animals (just like relationships with humans) can sometimes be deeply loving and deeply challenging at the same time.
