  • Fabiola R. Delgado- The Art Pusher
    2025/10/14

On today's episode of Real Creative Humans, I sit down with Fabiola R. Delgado.

Fabiola R. Delgado (b. Cabimas, Venezuela 1990) is an independent curator and creative producer based in Washington DC. A former Human Rights lawyer and political asylum seeker from Venezuela, she brings a deeply personal lens to her work, and channels her commitment to justice through artistic and cultural experiences. Recognizing storytelling as the essence of her practice, she develops socially engaged projects that recenter perspectives and foster intergenerational creative learning. Her work spans exhibitions, scholarship, editorial projects, and public programming for all ages.

    R. Delgado is a recipient of the first National Leaders of Color Fellowship (a collaborative program from the six U.S. Regional Arts Organizations,) as well as a Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Her practice bridges formal and alternative art spaces, working with a wide range of institutions––from major museums like the Hirshhorn, National Museum of American History, Brooklyn Museum, and Smart Museum of Art, to experimental and public art initiatives including Washington Project for the Arts, Times Square Arts, Transformer, apexart, Foggy Bottom Biennial, and the FUNDRED Project by
MacArthur “Genius” Mel Chin. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, BmoreArt Magazine, Artishock Magazine, Arte al Día, and Intervenxions by The Latinx Project at NYU, among other publications.

On today's episode of Real Creative Humans, I sit down with Tatianna Mack.

Tatianna is the dedicated Art Liaison at the Tanya Weddemire Gallery. She
cultivates and strengthens the connections among artists, collectors, and the
community. With a profound appreciation for emerging talent and a commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, Tatianna advocates for intersectionality through diversity in her work.

In 2019, Tatianna launched her blog, The Art of Tati, to promote representation in art spaces. Since then, she has moderated conversations centered on artistry and the transformation of gallery culture and has led community initiatives in partnership with esteemed organizations, including Black Girls in Art Spaces, A Place Called Home, and Industry City.

Tatianna's innate ability to envision and implement dynamic programming highlights her dedication to art beyond the gallery setting. In February 2025, she made her curatorial debut with I Got a Story to Tell an all-women exhibition inspired by a conversation with her grandmother and presented at the Tanya Weddemire Gallery. The exhibition garnered widespread attention, with Tatianna and the gallery featured on PIX11 News and in several publications.

Guided by her passion for art, fashion, and community, Tatianna remains committed to cultivating a more inclusive and vibrant art world.

  • Devin Allen- Camera as a Weapon
    2025/09/16

On today's episode of Real Creative Humans, I sit down with Devin Allen.

Devin Allen is a self-taught artist who gained national attention when his photograph of the Baltimore Uprising was published on the cover of TIME in May 2015. A native of Baltimore, Devin achieved a rare feat as only the third amateur photographer TIME selected to feature on its cover.

In 2017, he was named the first fellow of the Gordon Parks Foundation Fellowship and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award as a debut author for his book, A Beautiful Ghetto (Haymarket Books).

Devin was chosen to serve as a 2020 Ambassador for Leica Camera AG; and following the untimely deaths of George Floyd, Tony McDade, and Breonna Taylor, TIME once again acknowledged and honored Devin’s artistry by selecting one of his images from a Black Trans Lives Matter protest to grace the cover of their June 2020 issue.

Devin’s powerful imagery of Black life has been featured in New York Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Aperture.

His photography is also featured in permanent collections at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, the Jule Collins Smith Museum, and The Studio Museum in Harlem.

To follow along with Devin, you can follow him on Instagram at @bydvnlln or visit his website at www.bydvnlln.com.
