God's word is essential, sweet, deep, wonderful, and far greater than words can fully express. It is how we know Him and what He is like and what He says about us and the world and how we are to relate with Him. However, spending time in God's word is a constant struggle for many in the church. God calls us to a contentment of the soul in any and all circumstances. This is a high calling, especially considering the great trials and sufferings we face in this broken world. But Paul claims he has found the way to accomplish this in the book of Philippians, whether he has little or much, in need or in abundance.
