概要
This week, Layla and Ellie get into the unhinged category of fear: the stuff that absolutely owned us as kids and still has a grip on us now. From the Bermuda Triangle and quicksand panic, to Bloody Mary at sleepovers (absolutely not saying it again, thanks), we unpack the weird little myths that made bedtime feel like a hostage situation.
It starts innocent and nostalgic and then quickly escalates into ghost ships, “haunted” hills, shadow figures aka The Peeping Man, ghosts and the exact moment a mouse rescue turned into an emotional crisis. There is also an unexpected detour into childhood power trips, sibling menace behaviour, and the film scene that made Ellie scared to use the toilet for longer than anyone should admit (and gave many young women a water infection).
If you love the “why were we like this” conversations, mixed with real mum and daughter chaos, this one’s for you. Light-hearted but slightly grim in places.
