Co-hosted by Greg Thompson and Bailey Ivey, the episode highlights Harris’ respected career as a multiple Grade 1 winning trainer in Quarter Horse racing, as well as his rise through the ranks through the industry. Harris discusses his early beginnings in Alabama, and Florida before making his way out west to California. He discusses the origins of where he learned the fundamentals of training and horsemanship, his career milestones in California racing before later relocating to Texas to continue building a successful and enduring career on the racetrack.
Throughout the conversation, Harris reflects on his early training experiences, the influences that shaped his approach, as well as the evolution of the sport over time. Harris also shares his insight into the discipline, dedication, and horsemanship required to remain competitive and consistent in Quarter Horse racing.
