  • Dennis McKenna on DMT, Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, and the Future of Psychedelic Medicine
    2026/04/22

In this powerful episode of Psychedelics as Medicine, a sub-podcast of The It’s All Good Show, Dr. DREAM sits down with legendary ethnopharmacologist Dennis McKenna for a wide-ranging conversation on DMT, ayahuasca, psilocybin, indigenous wisdom, consciousness, and the evolving future of psychedelic medicine.

Dennis McKenna reflects on his early journey with Terence McKenna, the profound impact of La Chorrera, the mystery of DMT, and how decades of scientific research and personal exploration have shaped his understanding of psychedelics. Together, Dr. DREAM and Dennis explore the psychedelic renaissance, the tension between healing and commercialization, the importance of honoring indigenous traditions, and what these medicines may reveal about reality itself.

This episode also touches on the Heffter Research Institute, the McKenna Academy, extended-state DMT, psychedelic science, symbiosis, community-based healing, and the importance of humility in the face of the unknown.

If you are curious about psychedelic research, ethnobotany, plant medicines, ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, Terence McKenna, or the future of consciousness studies, this conversation is for you.

  • Can MDMA Heal Relationships? Jonathan Robinson on Couples Therapy, Love, and Connection
    2026/03/27

Can MDMA help heal a struggling relationship?

In this episode of Psychedelics as Medicine, Dr. DREAM sits down with Jonathan Robinson, bestselling author of Ecstasy for Couples and one of the earliest pioneers of MDMA-assisted therapy, to explore how MDMA can help couples reconnect, communicate more honestly, and work through issues that might otherwise take years in traditional therapy.

Jonathan shares how he has guided hundreds of individuals and couples through structured MDMA-supported sessions to help heal trauma, reduce anxiety, improve communication, and create deeper emotional connection. He also explains why so many couples get stuck in blame, shame, and emotional reactivity, and how MDMA can create the conditions for more love, empathy, honesty, and understanding.

In this conversation, Dr. DREAM and Jonathan explore:

~ Why traditional couples therapy can take years

~ How MDMA-assisted couples work differs from standard counseling

~ What actually happens in a guided MDMA session

~ Why emotional safety, empathy, and openness matter so much

~ The importance of integration after psychedelic experiences

~ Common relationship issues around sex, money, parenting, and conflict

~ How Jonathan works with couples over Zoom

~ Why purity, testing, and safety matter

~ MDMA dosage, timing, and frequency of use

~ Thoughts on ketamine, psilocybin, cannabis, DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, ayahuasca, and ibogaine

~ Yhe difference between calling psychedelics “drugs” and calling them “medicine”

~ Why Jonathan believes these medicines can help bring more love into the world

This is a rich conversation about relationships, healing, psychedelics, and what becomes possible when two people are able to truly hear and feel each other again.

Jonathan Robinson is the host of Awareness Explorers, a former psychotherapist, bestselling author of 16 books, and a longtime teacher in the field of MDMA-assisted healing.

If you enjoy conversations on psychedelics, emotional healing, relationship growth, expanded consciousness, and practical tools for deeper connection, this episode is for you.

  • Terence McKenna’s Cousin Sharon McKenna: Making "It's Going to Get Weirder" + The “Psychedelic Soup” of the 1970s
    2026/02/11

In this episode of Psychedelics as Medicine (part of The It’s All Good Show), I sit down with Sharon McKenna, writer, journalist, and filmmaker, who is producing and directing a feature documentary about her first cousin, Terence McKenna. Sharon shares the origin story of the project, starting with filming at Esalen shortly after Terence’s passing, and how the film has evolved decades later into a fresh, independent look at Terence’s legacy through the eyes of the people influenced by him.

We explore what Sharon keeps hearing repeatedly in interviews without “leading the witness,” including how prescient Terence was about technology and the future, the ongoing intrigue and ambivalence around Timewave, and why Terence’s impact continues to grow across generations, including people who are not necessarily psychedelic users. Sharon also opens up about her own upbringing in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1970s, describing a wider cultural “soup” that shaped her life and worldview. I also share personal stories from my own path, including meeting Terence in Palenque (1994) and how the psychedelic community continues to weave surprising connections across time. We close with a powerful reflection on staying human through uncertainty, keeping empathy alive, and why projects like this matter right now.
