A surrogate baby was saved after the woman refused to abort him because of a heart condition. Now, the intended parents are suing her for $100,000.

McKenna West was carrying a baby as a surrogate when she learned he had a serious—but treatable—heart defect. The intended parents asked her to have an abortion, but McKenna couldn't go through with it. She fled to Texas to protect him.

Baby Gabriel was born on August 12 and has already undergone his first life-saving surgery. But he still has two more surgeries ahead of him. Meanwhile, McKenna is fighting a custody battle and a $100,000 lawsuit for allegedly breaking her surrogacy contract by refusing to abort the baby.
