• 032 | The Underestimated Power of Hope & Belief in Basketball
    2025/12/18

There’s a reason so many people fall in love with basketball — anything can happen.

Buzzer beaters. Huge comebacks. Underdog wins. Cinderella stories that flip a season on its head. And yet, despite all the proof this game gives us, belief is often the first thing players and teams lose when results don’t go their way. In this episode, we explore the underestimated power of hope and belief in basketball — why momentum usually starts before the wins do, and how staying relentless can change everything, even when the ladder says otherwise.

  • 029 | Process-Oriented Thinking: The Mindset Shift Every Young Athlete Needs & How It Still Shapes My Game
    2025/12/03

How often do you walk away from a game only thinking about the score, the stats, or the things you didn’t do? If you’re like most young athletes, results feel like the only thing that matters. But what if the real path to confidence — and even greatness — is hidden in something much smaller, quieter, and way more within your control? This week’s episode was sparked by our game against my former team, the Perth Lynx, and a personal “win” that had nothing to do with the scoreboard… but everything to do with process-oriented thinking, growth, and becoming the athlete you’re meant to be.

If you or your athlete struggles with focusing too much on results — wins, stats, points, selections — this episode will feel like a deep breath. Today I’m sharing how one specific mindset shift has changed the way I compete, grow, and stay confident: process-oriented thinking.

I want this episode to feel like a breath of fresh air for athletes who put so much pressure on themselves - there's a better way!

🎙️ Episode 28: Process-Oriented Thinking: The Mindset Shift Every Young Athlete Needs — and How It Still Shapes My Game

    • Why young athletes lose confidence when they focus on results, and how process-oriented thinking builds long-term growth
    • How to train your mind to be process-oriented instead and my personal example from the game!
    • How to choose your “one thing” each week to keep improving
    • A mindset reminder: you have to fall in love with the process of becoming great
    💬 Quote Worth Remembering:

“Falling in love with the process is what’s going to keep you motivated, keep you encouraged and keep you working hard...”

  • 028 | Self-Belief & the Surprising Impact of Problematic Sports Parents (My Parents’ Perspective – Part 3)
    2025/11/26

In Part 3 of My Parents’ Perspective, we wrap up our most personal and impactful conversation yet. This episode dives into the surprising—and sometimes shocking— problematic sports parents my family experienced, from accusations and rumors to jealousy and sideline drama.

But what unfolds next is even more powerful: a vulnerable discussion on how childhood experiences influence a young athlete’s self-belief, how “outside noise” can quietly chip away at confidence, and why emotional turbulence at a young age can create long-lasting ripple effects.

My parents also share practical, heartfelt advice for supporting your child through negativity and building confidence rooted in both self-belief and hard work. This is an episode every sports parent, coach, and young athlete needs to hear. Come be a fly on the wall for an honest look into the life of a professional athlete.

🎙️ Episode 28: Self-Belief & the Surprising Impact of Problematic Sports Parents (My Parents’ Perspective – Part 3)

    Release Date: November 26, 2025

    Episode Type: Interview / Story

    🔑 Episode Highlights:

    • How “problematic sports parents” can unintentionally (or intentionally) chip away at a young athlete’s confidence—and what to look out for.
    • Why childhood experiences and outside noise can have long-lasting emotional effects, shaping self-belief, resilience, and mindset well into adulthood.
    • Practical advice for parents and coaches on how to support a child through the negativity and struggles in self-belief.
    • A raw and honest look at our family’s own journey, including moments that tested our faith!

💬 Quote Worth Remembering (that Teige forgot during the recording 🤪)

“You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same….”

    2025/11/04

Have you ever had that moment where you finally finish a huge game, an exam, or a big week… and your first instinct is to switch off, stay up late, binge scroll, or just “treat yourself” because you feel like you earned it? As athletes — and honestly, as driven people — we’ve all been there. But the truth is, greatness doesn’t just show up when it’s convenient. How you do anything is how you do everything, and those tiny moments of decision? They shape who you become. Today, we’re talking discipline — the kind that separates the good from the great, the dreamers from the doers, and the potential-filled from the truly born-for-greatness athletes who never settle.
