Do you ever find yourself squinting at achievers in awe and disbelief wondering how they seem to get so much accomplished while you wallow in an endless sea of to-do’s hoping God will add just a few more hours at the end of your day. It can be difficult to juggle your responsibilities as a husband, father, brother, son, friend, coworker, entrepreneur...the list goes on and on, but your energy does not. Simplify your list. Join the movement and begin prioritizing what’s right for you not what’s left behind.© 2025 Prioritize アート キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 社会科学 聖職・福音主義

This week, we take a nostalgia-soaked detour back to the 80s — because nothing says “holiday spirit” like stumbling across a beloved childhood show suddenly streaming on Prime. One minute you’re scrolling, the next you’re eight years old again, wearing questionable fashion and eating cereal straight from the box.

Then we shift gears into Thanksgiving mode: the excitement, the chaos, and the age-old treasure hunt of locating the family’s fine china — you know, the plates that only come out once a year, wrapped tighter than a government secret and hidden somewhere between hope and hazard.

Expect surprises, mild frustration, and a few “why do we do this every year?” moments… all part of the charm of a holiday feast.

And finally, we land where every good Thanksgiving story should: gratitude. For the people around us, the stories behind us, and the grace that carries us forward — even when we burn the rolls.

Tune in, laugh a little, nod knowingly, and walk away with a heart a touch fuller (and maybe a craving for stuffing).

...A few of the issues I address in this episode -

    • The 80's, and a very special show
    • Sourcing the good china
    • The many frustrations and joy of hosting
    • A different kind of attitude

Some memories don’t fade—they just smell like bacon grease and sound like laughter from the next room.

There’s something about the sound of an iron skillet in the morning—the hiss of batter meeting bacon grease, the smell of hotcakes that could wake the whole house. Mom always said they had to be golden on the edges, not too thick, not too thin. Thanksgiving meant those hotcakes, the long drive to Grandma’s house, and the dining room table that somehow fit more people—and more stories—than it should’ve. And somewhere between second helpings and laughter, that one movie would come on. The same one we watched every year. It wasn’t the holidays until it did.

...A few of the issues I address in this episode -

    • Really good hotcakes recipe
    • The Iron Skillet
    • What Mom said about hotcakes
    • Thanksgiving traditions
    • Off to Grandma's house
    • The dining room table and hutch
    • A very memorable movie

In this heartwarming episode of Prioritize, I take a walk back through the early chapters of life — when the world was simpler, and the lessons came from family, not from headlines. From soccer fields and fishing trips with Grandpa to the unforgettable day I got my first Chinese throwing star (don’t worry, Mom survived), these stories remind us how deeply the roots of faith, family, and fatherhood run.

I share a few laughs, a few lessons, and some honest encouragement for every dad out there trying to do it right — not perfectly, but presently. Because being a father isn’t about having it all figured out; it’s about showing up, leading with love, and teaching your kids what really matters.

Pull up a chair, take a breath, and let’s talk about what it means to Prioritize.

...A few of the issues I address in this episode -

    • Car Seats and first memories
    • A free things about Addison, MI
    • McD's and the Chicken Nugget
    • ET
    • MC Hammer and sewing
    • The $5 lawn job, and what to do with all that dough!
