  • 449: The Art of H. R. Giger
    2026/05/27

Trigger Warning: Extreme Imagery dealing with themes of SA, dead fetuses, and other violence.

Welcome to pcmc, your one-stop shop for non-toxic fandom! On today's all-new episode, host Mike Bongiorno is joined, once again, by good friend of the show Nadia Kader. This episode is about the work of the great pop artist H.R. Giger. Giger is best known as the man who designed the Xenomorph for the Alien film series, but he spent a lifetime crafting bizarre, disturbing images that dealt with the merging of the biological and mechanical, and life with death. This episode is an audio commentary on works of art. The hosts will give the names of each piece they are discussing and the listener can either find them online, or go to @PCMCpod on Instagram and find all the works there in one place (also don't forget to like and subscribe)! • 448: Alice in Wonderland (1966)
    2026/05/20

Off with her head! Welcome to pcmc, your one-stop shop for non-toxic fandom. On today's all-new episode, host Mike Bongiorno got together with good friend of the show Nadia Kader to discuss the 1966 BBC version of Alice in Wonderland. This version features British acting legends like Peter Sellers, Peter Cook, and Sir John Gielgud in the classic roles we all know and love, but with a twist, none of the actors are costumed to appear like the animals they are portraying. And that is just one of the many fascinating novelties in this mad and melancholic version of the classic tale. If you enjoy hearing Mike and Nadia discuss Alice in Wonderland, go back to the podcast feed and check out episode 256: Alice (1988). • 446: The Legend of Zelda (1989 Animated Series)
    2026/05/06

Well excuuuuussssee me! Welcome to pcmc! Your one-stop shop for non-toxic fandom! On today's all-new episode, host Mike Bongiorno is joined by fellow adventurer of Hyrule, Bill Gagliardi. The guys came together to discuss the 1989 Legend of Zelda animated series. This 13-episode series aired as a segment on the cult favorite TV show The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Produced by DIC Entertainment, the cartoon was a weird combo of uneven animation, great music, bad writing, odd character choices, and blatant misogyny. Bill is a huge fan of the Zelda games and Mike is too dumb to have beaten even a single entry, but together they discuss the impact of this show on the franchise at large.
